A Customs bonded warehouse is a secure facility where imported dutiable goods can be stored, handled, or processed without paying duties for up to 5 years from the date of importation. This is authorized under Title 19, United States Code (U.S.C.), section 1555, with operational regulations outlined in 19 CFR 19.
